Fire Mitigation
In the front range we have the unique privilege to make our homes among some of the most beautiful landscapes in the US. Unfortunately, this opportunity goes hand in hand with the risk of fire emerging into our communities. Caprine Ecological is proud to offer Coloradans the chance to manage the risk to their homes in a natural and productive way.
Our herds can reduce fuel density on land of any size or terrain. We will work with you to help develop and implement a plan, tailored to your land, that minimizes fuel and maximizes ecological health.
Using remote imaging tools and soil data sets, we are able to offer free online estimates for fire mitigation contracts. Just contact us with a description of the grazing site and we will get back to you with the numbers!
Weed Control
Front range plant pests like gambel oak, yellow star-thistle or teasle can sometimes be managed with grazing just as effectively as with herbicides or mechanical clearance. Our herds are conditioned to seek out many of the noxious weeds that other livestock would find unpalatable, weeding on a budget!
